CAM4 Team Participates in Colombia's 'Red Rag' Charity Drive

BOGOTA, Colombia — The CAM4 Global Customer Support crew is participating in a charity drive in Colombia, distributing food and supplies to people in need.

“The Colombia-based CAM4 team went above-and-beyond this week in response to the ‘Red Rag’ protests happening across the country,” explained a rep. “Residents experiencing poverty are being urged to hang red rags in their windows as a signal that they are in need, ideally prompting passersby to drop off any food and supplies they can spare.”

According to the rep, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a surge in red rags in windows in the South American country, signaling mass distress and a critical lack of resources.

"CAM4 heard about this and decided to act," the rep said, "with staff from all over world funneling resources to the [crew] in Colombia, who then hit the streets to deliver much needed supplies."

CAM4’s Customer Support Manager Kim said the company is “very proud of our team for responding to people who don’t have the resources to survive the quarantine. Our Colombian team gathered and delivered food and supplies to those in need, and folks from our teams around the world sent donations to help efforts on the ground.”

“It’s a true reflection of the type of people who work on my team,” Kim added, “and we are quite moved by their kindness during these hectic times.”
